FIRST, A COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

Your garden

journey starts here

Our design service caters for clients needing full garden redevelopment or those focusing on a specific area that needs rejuvenation. Not sure where to begin? Relax, we are here to help!

All our garden design projects, large or small, commence with a complimentary consultation. This is usually a traditional meeting with you, in your garden, or we are happy to offer a virtual garden tour using video technology such as Zoom, a technique which proved popular during lockdown. We will look at how you plan to use your garden, what styles and plants you enjoy, and any particular features you wish to include. For more examples of the sort of questions we will ask, please read through our garden design considerations.

Following this meeting we put together a design fee proposal for your project.

DESIGN FEE PROPOSAL

Crafting your dream garden

Our design fee proposal includes some or all of the following elements;

Survey

A survey of your garden.

Initial Concept Design

An initial Concept Design showing the overall layout of your new garden, indicating materials and any specimen plants.

Mood Boards

To give an idea of the materials and plants proposed.

Visualisation

Images created on our 3D modelling software.

Video

Video exploring the 3D model.

Revisions

Second stage revisions and design development if necessary

With a wealth of knowledge and experience at our disposal, whatever your garden needs, we will come up with practical solutions tailored to your budget. We will never design anything that cannot be feasibly constructed.

As a company that offers a complete design and build service, once the Concept Design has been finalised, we will provide a quotation for its construction.

We can even provide a quotation for regular maintenance in order to keep your garden looking as good as the day it was built – if not better as the planting matures.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ’s

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There is no straightforward answer to this question! The cost of a garden design will vary greatly depending on the size of your garden and complexity or number of features of the scheme you are looking for.

For example, at the extremes a small town garden which requires some paving and a couple of raised beds would not take the same level of design time as a country estate requiring the creation of a walled garden, terraces, formal lawns, mixed boarders… etc. This is why we always start off with a free consultation to discuss your requirements, allowing us to then put together a Fee Proposal for a design tailored to your needs. Included in this cost is time after the completed design presentation to make any amendments that you would like.

For more complex gardens that require ongoing design consultation, we’ll give you an hourly or day rate, and you will be kept updated on all the time we spend working on your project.

Ultimately, the cost of a garden design is relatively small compared to the cost of having your garden landscaped, so if you are going to invest in improvements to your outside space then it is worth taking time to ensure that at the end of the project you will have a garden that you are going to enjoy.

I DON’T LIKE YOUR FIRST DESIGN, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

After you receive the initial Concept Design, we will take on board your comments and resolve any issues that have been identified. As we focus on communication throughout the design process, we are confident that we will produce the ideal layout for your garden.

CAN I PROVIDE INPUT INTO THE GARDEN DESIGN PROCESS?

Absolutely! A collaborative approach is often encouraged. You can share your ideas, preferences, and any specific requirements with the garden designer to ensure the design reflects your vision.

ARE SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS CONSIDERED?

Yes, we incorporate sustainable and eco-friendly practices into our designs. We recommend suitable plants, water-saving techniques, and environmentally responsible materials to create a garden that is both beautiful and eco-conscious. We will also ensure that the design can be constructed in as environmentally astute way as possible.
