We prioritise a customer-focused approach. We understand that our clients want to enjoy watching their garden transform but not be inconvenienced by it. With this in mind, we focus on the most efficient project management possible to deliver your project in a timely manner and to the agreed budget. Prior to commencing work, we take time to consider the wider practicalities of your project to ensure that your design is achievable and practical.

transform spaces

Our team of over 20 operatives have a diverse range of skills which include; pathways and pavings, timber and decking, garden structures, stone walling and brickwork, planting, turfing and seeding, irrigation, drainage, ponds and water features, arboriculture work and ground modelling.

This all-encompassing range of in-house skill is unusual amongst landscaping firms and means that we rarely have to outsource any of our work to third-party providers, giving us ultimate flexibility to deliver your project in a co-ordinated manner and to the given timelines. We are confident that our people are fully trained in their areas of expertise and run a comprehensive annual training program to ensure that skills are kept up to date and developed.

IN-HOUSE EQUIPMENT

Efficiency at it’s best

We own and operate our own fleet of heavy plant equipment, including diggers, dumpers, tractors and specialist equipment. This gives us the flexibility to use the correct and most efficient machine for each task. This is in addition to the usual range of lawn mowers, strimmers, chainsaws etc that you would expect.

SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

Your peace of mind

We are fully insured and take our contractor responsibilities as given, prioritising health and safety and environmental considerations in our method statements, risk assessments and site work. Our teams are fully trained and expect to deliver accurate and quality work, first time, every time.

CDM REGULATIONS COMPLIANCE

Your legal duty covered

Experience tells us that people are often not aware of their responsibilities under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM). By employing a professional landscaping company such as ourselves you can be sure that your legal duty of care as a Homeowner, Garden Designer or Independent Agent organising the work are covered and that you will be legally compliant with respect to health and safety.

After 2015(CDM) which extended the requirements of regulations to cover domestic projects.

GARDEN MAINTENANCE MADE EASY

Your garden's makeover starts with our equipment

We maintain ownership and oversight of our own comprehensive fleet of heavy plant equipment, complete with specialised attachments designed for ground modelling, cultivation, and material screening. This enables us to maximise on-site material recycling and reutilisation, thereby minimising waste disposal.

This is in addition to our normal range of dumpers, tractors, excavators and rotavators that you would expect a landscaping firm to own.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ’s

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO LANDSCAPE MY GARDEN?

Luckily our Cotswold climate is pretty landscaping friendly for most of the year leaving much of this decision to you. Whilst the days are longer and mostly dryer in the summer you might decide you would rather have your outdoor space to yourself at this time of year leaving the colder winter months to the landscapers. We come well prepared with ‘ground guards’ to protect your surfaces and will always work in as clean and tidy a manner as possible.

Allowing sufficient time to plan and implement your garden changes is essential, as a rule of thumb planning the preceding autumn for work to be completed the  following spring allows sufficient time.

DO I NEED PLANNING PERMISSION?

Not always as straight forward as you might think, this is definitely one for our garden design team who are experienced in this field. It is always worth checking with the local planners, particularly when considering surface coverings in respect to permeability and also for any tree preservation orders that may be in force for trees in your garden.

WILL LANDSCAPING MY GARDEN MAKE IT EASIER TO MANAGE?

Depending on the design you choose, yes! For example, installing an irrigation system will save on manual watering and use of mulch will help keep weeds away. Choosing ‘easy’ plants can also dramatically reduce the hours of garden labour needed.

I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START, DO YOU OFFER ADVICE?

Yes. Most of our clients are unsure how best to make the most of their garden, but are certain there is room for improvement. We really enjoy every garden project, large or small, so please contact us to find out how our expert team can help, and arrange a no-obligation first visit.

CAN YOU HELP WITH ONE OFF PROJECTS?

Yes we can give you a fixed price or a day rate for a garden rejuvenation, often clients ask us for hedge cutting, fence and patio repairs or help on how to solve garden dilemmas such as poorly draining soil, sick plants or problem ponds.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PLANTS TO LOOK GOOD?

Patience is key here, your garden designer will have chosen plants that suit your space but they do take time to mature and flourish into the available spaces. It’s always best to manage expectations and check on a plant by plant basis. Don’t forget that looking after your plants takes time with each requiring a bespoke package of pruning, watering and feeding care to look its best. We can help with this too and offer an ongoing garden maintenance and aftercare service which includes a plant guarantee.

MINE’S A SMALL GARDEN, IS THERE A MINIMUM GARDEN SIZE?

No, we offer bespoke design, construction and maintenance on all sizes of gardens in town and country locations. However we do have a minimum charge per project of approx £1000. We are a large and well resourced company with a multi-skilled directly employed workforce and projects of this size and larger are better suited to our capabilities.

I ALREADY HAVE A DESIGN, ARE YOU ABLE TO BUILD AND PLANT?

Yes, we construct many gardens and landscapes that have been designed by other professionals and are happy to quote for these projects. Our project managers are experienced in working with Landscape Architects and clients to deliver their design.

I NEED REGULAR VISITS TO KEEP MY GARDEN TIDY, CAN YOU HELP?

Yes, we have many clients where our skilled horticulturalists provide a range of regular maintenance options, services often include lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning and weeding. We also have clients who only use us once a year for their Autumn tidy.

HOW MUCH DOES LANDSCAPING COST?

So how much does garden landscaping cost? If only the answer were as simple as the question! In truth there is no easy answer to calculating garden landscaping cost and certainly no magic formula, there are though indicating factors and guiding principles that should be sufficient to give an idea or estimate as to the cost of the proposed work.

The below landscaping cost guide has been designed to open early conversation of expected cost expectations to give a realistic indication of probable expenditure. With our role as a design and build garden and landscape specialist being to guide and assist your decision-making thoughts. Enabling your garden visions to match the reality of the budget available.

As an absolute ‘back of the envelope’ figure, similar to the house building industry, landscaping has long worked on a rough and ready price per square meter figure.

In our experience given that we only deliver high-quality garden projects, we consider there to be three price brackets with these being determined by a combination of factors comprising existing conditions and desired features/finished effect.

Taking this information as a base guideline you can start to see that if your garden is on a slope and you are looking to incorporate a high intensity of quality garden features such as retaining walls raised beds, edging, steps, a bespoke pergola with a reasonably sized pond you will need a budget of approximately £300 – 350/m² whereas if you have a flat cleared garden and plan to mainly lay lawn spending the project budget on targeted features of maybe a small decking area, simple fence and economically designed but aesthetically pleasing borders your budget is going to be approximately £100- 150/m².

Unpicking this ‘back of an envelope’ approach to establishing a first estimate of likely cost further we can go on to look at comparison costs for the features that you might wish to incorporate into your garden. Once again these are indicative and this information is designed only to give an idea of what the actual cost might be.
