Flexible
Maintenance Plans
The majority of our clients use our maintenance and aftercare services on an ongoing basis. We decide together the number of hours across the year and the seasons, and plan accordingly. Visits will vary in length to take account of seasonality and the jobs required.
Some clients take up our “one off” visit service, to focus on particular areas of concern such as a tree that needs removing, a hedge that’s just too large or shrubs and borders that require a major haircut. We are happy to help with all these garden tasks!
Plant Replacement
Guarantee
Our aftercare package forms the basis of our plant replacement guarantee. Plants which have been purchased, planted and cared for by ourselves, which are under a Cotswold Estates and Gardens maintenance contract are guaranteed according to our Terms and Conditions to establish and thrive in your garden.
Very occasionally plants fail to achieve this satisfactorily and we will replace those that don’t.

Regular maintenance
Tasks such as mowing, scarifying, edging, mulching, pruning and weeding. Our attention to detail ensures that every element of your garden remains well-groomed and visually stunning.
Plant inspections
To ensure that your plants thrive, as part of their visits our team will monitor plant health, diagnosing and treating any issues such as space for growth and soil health and including any requirements for fertilisation and disease or pest control.
Irrigation
We can install, optimise and maintain irrigation systems to provide an efficient water supply to your plants, these can be permanent or temporary solutions to account for garden life stage and seasonality.
General garden work
We are also able to clean and maintain areas such as pathways, decks, walls and garden structures, this can include repair and replacement as required.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
We charge by the hour for our maintenance and aftercare services. We are transparent in our costings and the first hour on site is charged at a higher price to reflect the distance travelled to your garden from our base and the mobilisation of resources needed to tackle your particular needs.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL YOU SEND?
Our operatives generally work in teams of two, which we find to be most efficient in delivering our services.
I NEED REGULAR VISITS TO KEEP MY GARDEN TIDY, CAN YOU HELP?
Yes, we have many clients where our skilled horticulturalists provide a range of regular maintenance options, services often include lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning and weeding. We also have clients who only use us once a year for their Autumn tidy.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PLANTS TO LOOK GOOD?
Patience is key here, your garden designer will have chosen plants that suit your space but they do take time to mature and flourish into the available spaces. It’s always best to manage expectations and check on a plant by plant basis. Don’t forget that looking after your plants takes time with each requiring a bespoke package of pruning, watering and feeding care to look its best. We can help with this too and offer an ongoing garden maintenance and aftercare service which includes a plant guarantee.
WILL LANDSCAPING MY GARDEN MAKE IT EASIER TO MANAGE?
Depending on the design you choose, yes! For example, installing an irrigation system will save on manual watering and use of mulch will help keep weeds away. Choosing ‘easy’ plants can also dramatically reduce the hours of garden labour needed.
