Down Ampney

It was quite by serendipity that we first discovered Cotswolds Estates and Gardens Ltd.  There was a feature in the local paper about one of their staff receiving a long service award and this encouraged us to Google their website.  We were initially impressed by their Investor in People accreditation and also their emphasis on health and safety.  Clearly they looked after their staff, and this was an important factor for us.

We then proceeded to contact Joe Watson, who was most helpful, and agreed an early visit with a view to discussing our ideas and preparing some outline plans.  We wanted a garden that had an Italianate theme and that we could enjoy pottering around in when we retired.  Indeed, we wanted Cotswolds Estates and Gardens to turn our vision into reality, and this is just what they did!  We were delighted with the outline plans, which they then carried through to the hard landscaping and planting.  No project is without some setbacks and we had to make some adjustments along the way.  They were most accommodating in factoring these into the scheme and we were really pleased with the end result, completed on one of our birthdays.  The scheme was so successful that Cotswolds Estates and Gardens Ltd decided to enter our scheme into the BALI National Landscape Competition in 2014 and we won an award.  A perfect end to our project!

Little Barrow

We have used the services of Cotswold Estates and Gardens for more than 15 years. They first constructed the major garden redesigns around the house. This involving a lot of technical expertise and were excellent in finding solutions to challenging drainage problems within the gardens. They are always very professional and helpful and communicated very clearly with us throughout the process. We have continued to employ them on smaller garden projects and they always giving us the same attention to detail. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Melrose

Cotswold Estates and Gardens created a fabulous pond and transformed a driveway for us at our home in Wiltshire. So, years later, when we moved to Melrose in the Scottish Borders we asked CE&G to carry out extensive works to the driveway and entrance to our Victorian house. This project involved 160m steel edging, 750 sq m of top quality turf, 60 tonnes of flint, reclaimed Yorkstone paving – together with the all important associated preparation of levels, installing suitable drainage etc. The work was completed by three very experienced, professional and competent CE&G  landscapers over two weeks. It is an understatement to say that we are delighted with the end result. Every aspect of the project was a resounding success. It has been a joy to work with Joe Watson again – his knowledge, experience, honesty and integrity are qualities that he has in abundance. An exceptional job from an exceptional company”

All the guys and girls who came to work on the projects were very good. I would have no hesitation on having you back to do further work. If any customers in the future would like a reference for the work you do I would be more than happy to provide one.”
